Even the squirrels getting are getting it!

I was sat on the wall out side lecture room 3 this morning before i led morning prayers, I was just chillaxing and stuff and these 5 squirrels were just playing around together and it made me realise that this place is such a community even the squirrels get it which is a good thing because we seem to have the whole of derbyshires squirrels on our little patch there is loads of them, just like cliff you have staff, residential students, day students, part - time students, ma/cen/ymm Etc . students, note takers, cleaners, mantence and estates, kitchen staff and admin.

Community is a difficult word to explain but i'll try, i think it is a type of fellowship and organised society.

living in a Christian community is sometimes harder than the actual work it self because people get stressed and tired and little things start annoying you but then you get over it. Sometimes in this type of community you just want to be really sinful and bad but you know you shouldn't.

well i am off to finish assignment now toodles!
woop woop street angels presentation tomorrow prayer muchly appriciated!

I am sat in the Digs reflecting on a few weeks ago. We had an oasis space and it was cool being around people. We were listening to the small still voice of god, a lot of people were broken and their cracks were showing I was one of them, but we ministered and used our pastoral gifts on each other. I love the fact us first years can be in each other’s company in completeish silence and still enjoy it. It was blessing and made me feel on top of the world, so I got some clay and made a giraffe because giraffes are tall and know where they have come from and how far they have made it. I can’t believe how much I have changes these past 6 weeks. I still remember what was going through my head whilst mum and dad were driving me up cliff lane it was “What am I doing?” and “why x3” but then I met some awesome people who I will never loose contact with ever. I am having to write this on paper as my Mac aint arrived yet but if our reading it then it has ☺. Whoop Mac ness. There is a few reasons why I wanted a Mac they are: because I wouldn’t get as many viruses, I really dislike windows at the moment but the best reason is I can sit in a coffee shop like star bucks (mmmmmm yummy Coffee) on my Mac drinking a Thai chi latte with my leather jacket and write a blog and the apples cute. On Thursday night we had a bonfire with fireworks, sparkerlers and bonfire lollies. It was hilarious and so much fun yet I still don’t like fireworks they scare me muchly ☹! Also on Thursday I handed in my first proper assignment it was for Resourcing Christian worship, I had to write a worship outline then do a reflective commentary on it. It was 1549 words long, when I handed it in it was the most amazing relief to post that assignment thought that little letterbox. At morning prayers on Friday, the song with the chorus “ I’ll stand with arms high and heart abandoned in awe of the one who gave it all yes I’ll stand my soul lord to you surrendered all I am is yours!” was playing in the background when we were surrendering our days to God and it still isn’t out of my head ☹. On Saturday I went to Sheffield with Amy, Andrew and David. We went to David’s fiancĂ©es house and she made the most awesome pizza ever especially for a student lol. I went to curry’s to buy a wireless dongle then on the bus home recognized I had bought the wrong one EPIC FAIL! On Sunday morning Caroline and I couldn’t get to our “Church” (it still doesn’t feel like I’m part of it yet) because unfortunately the people who drive weren’t going. We then went for the bus but got to the bus stop half an hour late HEHEHE, so in the end I went to Calver Methodist Church. David Whitworth was preaching on Micah 6:8. I want to preach like him there is something about him, which makes me stay engaged and not take my eyes off him. Then after dinner we had a lazy Sunday afternoon preparing for our Old Testament lecture on Amos 3-4 with Ian’s help. It looked like a Mac party because there were Macs everywhere. At the student led service Beth and Dee were talking about words and how the little things we say has the biggest impact on someone’s and I kept thinking about yoof and how I said so many bad things to some of the people there. So if any of you read this I am so sorry forgive me please, I love you all so much I wouldn’t be the person I am today thanks for all your support through this I love everyone in Tod and everyone in Cliff. + bless!
